Our Story

DoubleVision traces its roots in the automotive industry to the 1950s when co-founders Griffin and Skyler Wilson’s grandfather established Ericksen Auto Group in Edmonton, Alberta. He was soon joined by Skyler and Griffin’s parents, who took over the family business in the early 1990s.

Growing up in a family deeply involved in the car business, Skyler and Griffin were exposed to the challenges faced by dealerships, with one recurring issue being parts obsolescence.

During Skyler’s summer job at Island Motorcycle Company in 2022, he stumbled upon three shipping containers filled with obsolete motorcycle parts.

Realizing the potential value, Skyler, Griffin, and their close friend Marisa Shorrock tried to find a way to sell these parts online. They soon discovered, however, that no efficient solution existed for tackling this problem, which motivated the trio to create a better solution, PartsMatch and PartsWise.

In the fall of 2022, Skyler Wilson, Griffin Wilson, and Marisa Shorrock founded DoubleVision while pursuing their studies at Yale University and launched the company in early 2024.

At DoubleVision, our mission is to champion the success of small businesses and franchises managing manufactured parts inventory.
